Display Assembly

Removing the Display Assembly

1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.

2. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery).

3. Follow the instructions from step 3 to step 16 in Removing the System Board.

4. Make a note of the Mini-Card antenna cable routing and remove the antenna cables from the routing guides on the computer base.
Pull the cables away so that they are clear of the computer base.

5. Remove the five screws that secure the display assembly to the computer base.

6. Remove the display cable grounding screw from the display hinge.

7. Lift the display assembly off the alignment posts on the computer base.


is not covered by your warranty.
CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal
surface.
CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Removing the Battery) before working inside the
computer.
