The information shown in Figure 10 indicates very little difference in I/O performance when the 1Gb initiator is
connecting to separate speed pools versus mixed speed pools.
From this series of 1Gb initiator test results we can conclude that the placement of the volumes within a single
pool versus separating them out by speed does not have a significant impact on performance. In all cases,
throughput was limited by the 1Gb bandwidth available to the host. Latency and IOPS provided similar
results.
