Replication Options
Use the Replication Options page to select options for replicating a datastore.
• Replication Type – Select one of the following types:
– Replication, Asynchronous
– Replication, Synchronous – High Availability
– Replication, Synchronous – High Consistency
– Live Volume, Asynchronous
– Live Volume, Synchronous – High Availability
– Live Volume, Synchronous – High Consistency

• Replication Settings – Select among the following fields:
– QoS Definition – Select a Quality of Service (QoS) definition for the replication. For information
about creating or modifying QoS definitions, see the Dell Storage Manager Administrator’s Guide.
– Replicate Active Replay – Select this checkbox to copy all writes from the active Replay area of
the volume. Note that replicating active Replays can require significant bandwidth.
– Deduplication – Select this checkbox to copy only the changed portions of the Replay history on
the source volume, rather than all data captured in each Replay.
• Replication Target Location – Select the location on the destination Storage Center for the
replicated volume:
– Disk Folder – If your storage system contains multiple disk folders, select a Disk Folder from the
drop-down menu, then select either:
– Duplicate Source – To duplicate the source folder
– Use Selected – To use the selected disk folder
