Dell SupportAssist
Dell SupportAssist is a support tool that collects, stores, and transmits system state information to Dell
Technical Support. SupportAssist can provide automatic case creation based on event alerting, automatic
health checks, remote software updates, real-time troubleshooting, and customer support.
User Interface Updates
Storage Center 6.6 provides the following user interface enhancements to improve usability.
Dell SupportAssist configuration wizard
Virtual Port Mode configuration for iSCSI ports (Legacy Mode is removed for new systems)
Configure Secure Console wizard improvements to support Advanced Secure Shell (SSH)
Additional dialog boxes and instructional messages that provide error recovery for anticipated errors,
such as invalid parameters, conflicting IP addresses, unmanaged disks, and so on
Enforced Redundancy Thresholds
The following tables describe HDD and SSD redundancy thresholds for Storage Center 6.6.
NOTE: These thresholds are applied when adding disks after installing Storage Center 6.6.
