Using VASA Provider Information
The storage information that the VASA provider gathers allows VMware vCenter administrators to perform storage management.
Prole-Driven and Policy-Based Storage
The VASA provider supports Prole-Driven Storage, which categorizes volumes by performance and stores this information in storage
proles. Some of the benets of Prole-Driven Storage include:
Rapid, intelligent provisioning of applications
Application service levels that match available storage
Better visibility into the available storage pool
Policy-Based Storage Management helps further provision virtual machines by automating datastore placement decisions.
