NOTE: When installing, hot-swapping, or hot-adding a new PSU in a system with two PSUs, allow several seconds for
the system to recognize the PSU and determine its status. The PSU status indicator turns green to signify that the
PSU is functioning properly.
Removing the power supply unit blank
Prerequisite
Ensure that you follow the Safety instructions.
Step
If you are installing a second power supply unit (PSU), remove the PSU blank in the bay by pulling the blank outward.
CAUTION: To ensure proper system cooling, the PSU blank must be installed in the second PSU bay in a non-redundant
conguration. Remove the PSU blank only if you are installing a second PSU.

Installing the power supply unit blank
Install the power supply unit (PSU) blank only in the second PSU bay.
