spanning-tree vlan force-version
Congures a forced version of spanning-tree to transmit BPDUs.
Syntax
spanning-tree vlan vlan-id force-version {stp | rstp}
Parameters
stp — Forces the version for the BPDUs transmitted by RPVST+ to STP.
rstp — Forces the version for the BPDUs transmitted by RPVST+ to RSTP
Default Not congured
Command Mode CONFIGURATION
Usage Information Forces a bridge that supports RPVST+ to operate in a STP-compatible mode.
Example
OS10(config)# spanning-tree mst force-version

spanning-tree vlan hello-time
Sets the time interval between generation and transmission of RPVST BPDUs.
Syntax
spanning-tree vlan vlan-id hello-time seconds
Parameters
vlan-id — Enter the VLAN ID number (1 to 4093).
seconds — Enter a hello-time interval value in seconds (1 to 10).
Default 2 seconds

Usage Information Dell EMC recommends increasing the hello-time for large congurations — especially congurations with multiple
ports.

spanning-tree vlan max-age
Congures the time period the bridge maintains conguration information before refreshing the information by recomputing RPVST.
Syntax
spanning-tree vlan vlan-id max-age seconds
Parameters max-age seconds — Enter a maximum age value in seconds (6 to 40).
Default 20 seconds
