What is new in Dell SPI version 4.1

Latest operating system support Dell SPI version 4.1 supports Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system on the
management server.
Latest OMSA version Dell SPI version 4.1 supports the latest OMSA version 8.1 for the following Dell devices:
• Dell 10th Generation of PowerEdge servers to Dell 13th Generation of PowerEdge
servers
• Dell 10th Generation of PowerVault Storage Arrays to Dell 12th Generation of
PowerVault Storage Arrays
Latest Firmware version Dell SPI version 4.1 supports the latest firmware versions for the following Dell devices:
• Dell Remote Access Controllers
– iDRAC7
– iDRAC8
• Dell Chassis
– CMC
– VRTX CMC
– FX2 CMC
• Dell Storage Arrays
– Compellent Storage Arrays

Upgrade to Dell SPI version 4.1
Upgrade from Dell SPI version 3.0 or later to Dell SPI version 4.1. The Dell trap policy files
can either be auto-deployed during the upgrade process or can be manually deployed at a
later point of time based on the user preference.
Classification Classify the following devices:
• Dell Workstations and their associated Remote Access Controllers (RACs) under the
Dell Workstations hierarchy
• Dell 13th generation of PowerEdge servers and their associated RACs under the Dell
Servers hierarchy
• Dell N-Series Switches under the Dell Network Switches hierarchy
Monitoring Monitor the following devices:
• Dell 13th Generation of PowerEdge servers
• Dell Workstations
