About GUI Mode
The Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides an interactive approach to perform comparisons and updates.
You can use the GUI to:
View a
Comparison Report that displays the system components and applicable components in the repository.
Perform an upgrade, downgrade, or a system set update.
Browse the repository.
Performing Prerequisites Check
When you launch SUU using
suulauncher.exe, SUU scans the system to determine if a hardware or software
update is required.
NOTE
: If you are using SUU version 2.0.0 or earlier and a latest version of SUU is available, a warning message is
displayed. You can either download the latest version from support.dell.com or continue using the current version.
If the components in the system do not meet the prerequisite conditions, SUU displays the list of hardware or software
components whose prerequisite conditions are not met.
If the components in the system meet the prerequisite conditions, the Comparison Report is displayed.
