Dell™OpenManage™ServerUpdateUtility(SUU)是一个应用程序，可以识别并将更新应用到系统。可以使用 SUU 更新 Dell 系统或查看 SUU 支持的任何系统的可用更新。
SUU 会将系统上当前所安装组件的版本与 Dell Server Updates DVD 上打包的更新组件相比较。SUU 随后会显示版本比较报告并提供组件更新选项。
此版本中的新功能
从 SUU 6.3 开始，当在运行 Microsoft Windows 操作系统的不受支持系统中插入 SUU DVD 时，SUU 自动启动功能将显示 Repository Manager GUI。
可以使用 Repository Manager (RM) 查看、管理存储库并根据 SUU 介质上的 SUU 存储库创建自定义存储库。
此外，如果有因特网连接，比较报告将为列出的每个更新显示一个链接。单击该链接时，将重定向到 Dell 支持网站 support.dell.com。
以前版本的功能
从 SUU 2.0.0 开始，IPMI 驱动程序作为 Linux 操作系统安装的一部分来安装。不能使用 SUU 安装 IPMI 驱动程序。另外，SUU 也不会检查 IPMI 驱动程序安装。
