Powervault, Equallogic and Compellent systems, SUU contents are removed from the Dell’s 12th
and 13th generation of PowerEdge servers 64-bit operating system ISO. These contents are
available in the 32-bit operating system ISO.
Intel firmware and driver are not supported on FM120 platform.
On Dell’s 13
th
generation of PowerEdge servers SEP (Backplane) firmware DUP {SWB# GWJRF}
does not work for system configurations having more than 8 HDD backplane systems
configurations.
SAS-Drive firmware update on systems running Microsoft Windows is not supported.

Hard drive update is not supported in HBA mode.
VRTX M520 is displayed as M520 in SUU Comparison report.
VRTX M620 is displayed as M620 in SUU Comparison report.
When you run power supply firmware update, though the update is successful the version
number does not get incremented.(BITS082333)
You cannot install Server Administrator (32-bit) on a Server Administrator (64-bit)
installed.(BITS106560)
Work around: Uninstall Server Administrator (64-bit) and install Server Administrator (32-bit).
Updates fail on Linux systems where OMSA is uninstalled.
Work around: Delete the directory srvadmin present in /opt/dell/ and then run SUU to update
system components.
Installation
SUU is a stand-alone application that runs directly from the ISO. For more information on installing SUU,
see the "Dell OpenManage Server Update Utility User's Guide."
Note: Only users with administrator (Microsoft Windows) or root (Linux) privileges can perform updates
with SUU.
