Dell Remote Access Controller
• Discovers and monitors DRAC 4, DRAC 5, and iDRAC 6 (modular and
monolithic) devices on the network
• The DRAC 4, DRAC 5, iDRAC 6 modular, and iDRAC 6 monolithic
instances are grouped under the Dell Remote Access 4 Group,
Dell Remote Access 5 Group, iDRAC 6 Modular Group, and iDRAC 6
Monolithic Group respectively
NOTE: Dell Remote Access Controller Management Pack does not support the
discovery of xx0x iDRAC modular controller out-of-band systems due to iDRAC
hardware limitation. To manage iDRAC xx0x modular controller, use Detailed Server
Management Pack or Scalable Server Management Pack where xx0x iDRAC would
be discovered in-band as a part of the Server Inventory.
Alerts and Traps
• Displays alerts for events received from Dell OpenManage Server
Administrator for Dell PowerEdge systems
• Provides an option to include Informational alerts
• Provides trap support for DRAC 4, DRAC 5, iDRAC 6,
DRAC/MC, and CMC
• Provides Platform Event Trap (PET) support for Dell systems
Tasks
• Provides Tasks for Server Management Packs:
– Launching Server Administrator
– Launching Dell Modular Chassis Remote Access Console
– Launching InBand Dell RemoteAccess Console
– Clearing ESM log for Dell systems
• Provides Tasks for Remote Access Management Packs:
– Launching Dell RemoteAccess console
– Launching Dell CMC console
