Configuring Management Server Action Account With
Normal User Privilege
To configure Management Server Action Account with normal user privilege
follow these steps:

Install SCOM 2007 SP1/R2 on the management station,
with Management Server Action Account as a Domain user
(non Domain Administrator.)

Install Operations Manager Agent on the managed system (Auto Agent
Push/ Manual Install.) Add the Management Server Action Account
(as described in step1 - Domain User) as part of the local admin group for
Agent install to work.

Once discovery and monitoring of managed system is successfully initiated
in the Operations Manager Console, demote the Management Server
Action Account from the Local Admin group. You may need to reboot to
make sure that the user is not an administrator now.

Once the Management Server Action Account user is non Power user/
Administrator user account, Import the Dell Management Pack on
management station.

Wait till the managed system is discovered again by the Management Pack
(this will depend on the discovery cycle time.)
Importing Management Packs into SCOM
While importing a Management Pack or an utility ensure you import:
• Base folder utility prior to importing any of the four individual
Management Packs.
• Scalable Server Management Pack prior to importing Detailed Server
Management Pack or Informational-alerts-On override utility.
To import the Management Packs or utilities, use the SCOM Import
Management Pack wizard:
