Management Station Requirements
Generic Requirements
• For discovery of Windows systems on your network and installation of
SCOM agents through the Operations Console, all the managed systems
should have a valid and a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) that can
be pinged from the management station.
• For discovery of DRAC 4, DRAC 5, iDRAC 6, DRAC/MC, and CMC,
out-of-band network device discovery should be performed and
SNMP must be enabled.
Windows Server
• Dell Server Management Pack Suite v4.0 will still function if the SCOM
Management Server Action account has normal user privileges on all
Dell managed systems but with a reduced feature set. The Management
Server Action Account needs the following privileges for listed
additional features:
Alternatively, for the
Clear ESM Log task, if the Management Server
Action Account has normal user privileges, operators can, instead of
selecting
Use the predefined Run as Account , enter task credentials with
Power User (or higher) privileges to run the
Clear ESM Logs task.
