Dell Chassis Management Controller (CMC)
This Management Pack supports the discovering, monitoring, and alert
processing of Chassis Management Controller and DRAC/MC.
This Management Pack provides the following features in Dell Server
Management Pack Suite v4.0:
• Discovering and grouping of CMC and DRAC/MC instances in
the
Diagram View
• Attribute information for CMC and DRAC/MC
• SNMP trap processing and knowledge base for CMC and DRAC/MC
• Health monitoring of CMC and DRAC/MC - both at regular intervals of
six hours and on occurrence of SNMP traps
• Launching of DRAC and CMC devices console task
Scalability Scalable Management
Pack can be used for
discovering and monitoring
of very high number of Dell
systems. Dell recommends
to use this Management
Pack when the number of
managed systems exceeds
300 units.
Detailed Management Pack is best
suited for discovery and monitoring
of a smaller number of systems.
Performance Inventory and Monitoring
using Scalable
Management Pack is
faster than Detailed
Management Pack.
Slower in comparison to Scalable
Management Pack.
Reports Only OpenManage
Windows Event log report
is available with this
Management Pack.
BIOS configuration, Firmware and
Driver version, and RAID
configuration reports are available
with this Management Pack.
