Server and Rack Workstation Monitoring
(Licensed) Feature
Server and Rack Workstation Monitoring (Licensed) feature provides detailed or scalable inventory, based on your method of
discovery, and monitoring of the following devices:
12th generation and 13th generation of Dell PowerEdge servers
Dell PowerVault systems
Dell Precision Racks
Dell branded OEM servers
Dell OEM Ready servers
Inventory and monitoring of the these devices could be done through iDRAC or iDRAC Service Module (iSM) installed on the on the
managed server or Rack Workstation through one of the following methods based on your monitoring preference:
iDRAC using WS-MAN
iDRAC access via Host OS
iSM using WMI
This is a licensed feature.

Dell Server Management Pack Suite installer automatically imports the Server and Rack Workstation Monitoring (Licensed) feature
if the prerequisites are met.
iDRAC using WS-MAN or iDRAC access via Host OS
This section describes how you can monitor Dell devices through the servers’s iDRAC using WS-MAN (iDRAC IP) or iDRAC access
via Host OS (Host IP). The latter is an experimental feature.
This option provides detailed inventory and monitoring of the following Dell devices:
12th generation and 13th generation of Dell PowerEdge servers
Dell PowerVault systems
Dell Precision Racks
Dell branded OEM servers
Dell OEM Ready servers
NOTE: Dell PowerVault systems are not supported for iDRAC Service Module (iSM).
