Server In-Band Monitoring Requirements

To enable Server (In-band) Monitoring, install Server Administrator version 6.2 to version 7.0 (including the Server

Administrator Storage Management Service).

The following table lists the supported Server Administrator versions on the managed system and the corresponding

features.

NOTE: If a system has Server Administrator version lower than 6.2, it is grouped under

Unmanaged

and monitoring

is disabled.

NOTE: If you want to upgrade or uninstall Server Administrator on the managed system, the Alerts View of the

managed system may display the following error: Script or Executable failed to run. If the

managed system is not a management server, then switch the system to the Maintenance Mode till the upgrade or

uninstall completes. If the managed system is the management server, you may manually close the alerts after the

upgrade or uninstall is complete.
