DRAC Monitoring Requirements Using Server In-Band Feature
The requirements for iDRAC 7 are:
• Install Server Administrator (including the Server Administrator Storage Management Service) to enable in-
band troubleshooting tasks. To launch Server Administrator and enable Remote Desktop feature on systems
with iDRAC 7 make sure that:
– Server Administrator is installed on the iDRAC 7 host system
– Resolve the hostname of the iDRAC 7 host from the Management System
– Set the Server Administrator port to the default port, that is, 1311
– Remote desktop enabled on the iDRAC 7 host system
