Overview
This guide provides information on software prerequisites and requirements
to install and uninstall Dell Server Deployment Pack (DSDP) for Microsoft
System Center Configuration Manager (Configuration Manager.)
Before you begin configuring the server, make sure that you have set up the
server and the environment using Microsoft System Center Configuration
Manager 2007 or Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager. See
the Microsoft TechNet site at technet.microsoft.com for details.
Prerequisites And Requirements
Familiarity with deploying operating systems using Configuration
Manager 2007/2012.
You should have Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later, installed on
the server. For details on how to download and install Configuration
Manager, see the Microsoft TechNet site at
technet.microsoft.com
.
Server should have at least 100 MB of free disk space to install and use the
Dell Server Deployment Pack.
On systems running Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, download and
apply the hotfix provided in the Microsoft knowledge base articles
KB970170 and KB961105. For more information see,

On systems running Configuration Manager 2007 SP2, download and
apply the hotfix provided in the Microsoft knowledge base articles
KB979492 and KB978754. For more information see,
support.microsoft.com
.
To run the Configuration Manager task sequences on the client system,
you must configure the
Network Access Account
. For more information
see, Configuring Network Access Account.
You should specify a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). For more
informations see, Specifying a Fully Qualified Domain Name.
