Troubleshooting
Task sequences fail or act incorrectly after an upgrade
In order for the task sequences to function correctly
on systems running
Configuration Manager 2007 SP1:

Launch the task sequence editor. For more information see, Editing a Task
Sequence.

Edit each task sequence action. For example, for each Dell custom action
sequence present add a “
.
” to the
Description
and then remove it. This
enables the
Apply
button.

While upgrade if you selected
Remove WinPE DTK
option, then for the
Diskpart clean
step to correct the error click
Browse
under
Package
and
select
Dell PowerEdge Custom Reboot Script 2.0
.

Press
Apply
, which will refresh the properties of the custom action
sequence and save any new data or formatting required to function with
the new version.

group.

Remove the
RebootStep
variable condition present in
Step 1

Step 3
, and
Deploy Operating System groups
