RECOMMENDED: Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. This
version contains following updates and fixes.
What’s New
Dell Console Integration – DRM 2.2 onwards, DRM supports Dell Console Integration. You can connect and
create a repository with:
o Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration for System Center Virtual Machine Manager (DLCI for
SCVMM).
o Previous Catalogs – Allows you to select the previous Dell Catalogs.
Schedule bundle search – Provides further options to search for the bundle.
User readable log files – Now, users can use the log files more efficiently. DRM supports both .svclog and .log
files.
Download Optimization – DRM supports concurrent download of DUPs while creating update packages. By
default it is 5 and you may configure up to 10.
Version 2.2 onwards DRM supports catalog files in .gz format. The file can be imported by using any of the
following methods:
o By accessing Source Repository from Application ->Settings-> Source Repository.
o By using the Import Repository from Catalog file option from the Help menu.
Fixes
Fixed the low disk space error when more number of bundles are selected at the same time.
Email Log files can now be configured and sent through Microsoft Exchange or SMTP using Email Settings.
o Dependency on Email client has been removed.
DRM has implemented prior validation in Copy To option to avoid errors later.
Interface cleanup for options on Bundles and Components tab for easy navigation.
Seamless loading of repositories when multiple repositories are selected and opened.
Improvements in Manage Scheduled Task.
Merged Export option along with Create Deployment Tools.
Merged Comparison option along with Run a Comparison feature.
