NOTE: The user can still use the RMUpdater.exe by navigating to its location here in Server 2012 (running with
the core mode) : c:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Dell Repository Manager v.(x)\RMUpdater.exe .
Configuring Settings For Repository Manager
You can configure the following settings using the Applications Settings menu on Repository Manager:
Source Repository Setting
Default Proxy Setting
Plug-in Update Check and Setting
Dell Repository Manager Update
Configuring Source Repository Settings
1. On the Repository Manager screen, click Application Settings .
2. On the Settings window, click the Source Repository Setting option.
3. On the Source Repository window, select one of the following to update the repository sources settings:
Dell online repository (ftp.dell.com)
A Local Repository
NOTE: You can select the Check the update of source repository while starting check box to automatically
check for source updates.
4. If you select A Local Repository for the source, click the Browse button and navigate to the catalog.xml file.
5. Click Finish.
Configuring Default Proxy Settings
To configure the default proxy settings for a repository:
1. On the Repository Manager screen, click Application Settings .
2. On the Settings window, click the Default Proxy Setting option.
3. On the Proxy Server Settings window, select the Use Proxy Server (These settings will override the settings from
the current user's Internet Explorer (IE) proxy settings)
check box.
NOTE: The proxy server settings you configure affect all outbound network traffic from Repository Manager.
4. Type the Proxy Server Address and Proxy Server Port details.
5. Click Apply to accept changes or Cancel to exit without making changes.
Configuring Plug-in Update Check and Settings
You can configure the settings and check for updates using the Repository Manager Plug-ins window. Identify the
related updates for the SUU plug-in packages for bundle(s) and download the new payload and save them on the
system. The SUU plug-in enables the Repository Manager to generate an ISO, with Windows and Linux DUPs. These ISO
(s) are useful for post-operating system updates.
