NOTE: Repository Manager can only be installed on Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Updating Repository Manager

You can update Repository Manager to the latest available version using the following methods:

• Updating Repository Manager at Run Time

• Updating Repository Manager using the Application Settings

• Updating Repository Manager using an external application

Updating Repository Manager At Run Time

1. When you run Repository Manager in the server or client mode for the first time, the application checks for a newer

version of the Repository Manager, on ftp.dell.com.

2. If a new version is available, the Dell Repository Manager Update Manager dialog box appears:

– version number

– location where the new version is available

– version number of the release notes

3. Click Update to install the latest version of Repository Manager on the system.

NOTE: The Update button is enabled only when the Repository Manager version installed on your system is

out-of-date.

If you do not want Repository Manager to check for the latest available versions at run time, in the Dell Repository

Manager Update Manager dialog box, clear the Check for new version at launch check box.

Updating Repository Manager Using The Application Settings

1. On the Repository Manager screen, click Application → Settings.

2. On the Settings window, select the Dell Repository Manager Update option.

The Repository Manager checks the latest available version of the application at ftp.dell.com.

Updating Repository Manager Using An External Application

To update the existing version of Repository Manager on systems running the Microsoft Windows operating system:

1. Click Start → All Programs → Dell Repository Manager v

folder.

2. Select the Dell Repository Manager Updater option.

If a new version is available, the Dell Repository Manager Update Manager dialog box appears:
