4. Component Export screen appears, Click Next.
5. Select Export to Existing repository or New Repository to copy the components.
6. Select Existing Repository or provide Name and Description for the new repository.
7. Summary page shows the components being copied and the name of the repositories (existing or the new one).
8. Click Finish .
9. Please wait... screen appears with Cancel option. Click Cancel to exit without making changes.
10. Result page appears on successful completion indicating the number of components copied and the name of the
repository.
11. Click Close to return to the Repository Manager screen.
Viewing Component Properties
You can view properties of components on the Components tab.
To view component properties:
1. On My Repositories select the desired repository, click Open.
2. On the Components tab, select the component(s) to view its properties.
3. Click the Properties button just under the Components tab.
4. The Components Properties window is displayed listing the information about the component selected.
5. Click Close to return to the repository.
Working With Filters
Repository Manager has an extensive search mechanism that allows you to query repositories, create filters, and save
and load filters. Using the filtering capability of Repository Manager, you can view specific Dell Update Packages (DUPs)
from any selected repository.
You can create filters based on the following criteria:
Keyword search
Criticality
Line of business
Component versions
Operating systems
Supported platforms
Supported devices
Release date
Peripheral Components Interconnect (PCI) device information
Creating Filters
You can create filters at the repository or component levels.
To create a filter:
1. On the My Repositories tab, select a repository for which you want to search the components.
2. Click Open.
The components for that repository are displayed on the right.
3. Select and expand the filter option(s) listed from the Filter Components by: drop-down list, to create a filter.
