Viewing Properties Of A Repository
To view the properties of a repository:
1. On the Repository Manager screen, select the repository from the list of available repositories listed on the My
Repositories tab, select the one you wish to view the properties.
2. Click Open to view the repository.
3. Click the Propertiestab. The Repository Properties window displays.
The details displayed comprises:
the name and description of the repository
number of bundles and components in the repository
form factor
system models
Dell update package format
unassigned components in the repository
4. Click Cancel to exit the Repository Properties window.
Viewing Inventory Information Of A Repository
You can view the inventory information of repositories that are created using inventory from OME or Dell Management
Plugin for VMWare vCenter.
To view the inventory information of an OME or vCenter repository:
1. Open an existing OME or vCenter repository.
2. On the Repository Manager screen, click the Inventory tab and select the Information option.
The available inventory information displays in the Inventory Information for Repository: <name of repository>
window. The name of the system, the operating system, the timestamp of the inventory verification, and the total
number of devices appear on the left-hand side of the window once the specific device is selected.
The name of the device, type, and version appear on the right-hand side of the window.
3. Click Close to return to the Repository Manager screen.
Refreshing A Repository
You can refresh information of repositories that are created using inventory from OME or Dell Management Plug-in for
VMWare vCenter.
To refresh the details of an OME or vCenter repository:
1. On the My Repositories select an existing OME or vCenter repository, click Open.
2. Click Inventory.
3. Select the Refresh Inventory option. The Dell OME Host Details or Dell Management Virtual Appliance User
Credentials window is displayed. Confirm the Host Name or IP Address is correct and if needed, input the User
Name and Password. Click OK to continue.
After refreshing the inventory information, new updates, if any, are added to the repository as new bundles with a
new version and timestamp in the bundle name. The total number of bundles and components added appear in the
Inventory refresh results.
