Customize Repository - Allows you to create a new repository by selecting a source for the repository.
Dell OpenManage Essentials (OME) inventory... - Allows you to create a new repository by using the
inventory data generated by the Dell OpenManage Essentials.
Dell System Mgmt Plug-in for vCenter inventory - Allows you to create a new repository by using inventory
data generated by the Dell Management plug-in for VMware vCenter.
Empty (no inventory) - Allows you to create an empty repository.
My RepositoriesOpen
Select the check box next to the Repository from the My Repositories list and click Open to see the details (Bundles
and Components) of that repository. To view information on a particular repository, you can select the respective
Repository tab. A double click will open the repository for further convenience.
NOTE: This option is disabled until you select any particular repository.
My RepositoriesDelete
1. Check for any open jobs related to the repository that you want to delete.
Wait till the job completes or else Stop and Remove that job from the Jobs Queue.
2. Select the repository from the My Repositories list and click Delete.
3. Click Yes to confirm.
Deleting a repository deletes the repository data and the associated files from the database, once the user
confirms the operation.
NOTE: This option is disabled until you select a particular repository. The Delete option will not ask the users
to reconfirm the removal of the data files.
Creating A New Repository
To create a New Repository:
1. Launch Repository Manager.
2. On the My Repositories tab, click the New drop down menu and select the Customize Repository option.
The Create Repository window displays.
3. Enter the Name: and Description:.
4. Click Next. Or click Cancel at any time to exit without making changes.
5. In the Base Repository window, select a source for the repository.
6. Click Next.
7. In the Form Factor window, you can select the desired form factor(s) for the repository you are creating. The
available options are:
Rack mount, Tower, and Blade chassis.
8. Click Next.
9. In the Select OS window, select the operating system from the Select OS list to include the corresponding
components in the repository.
Select OS shows the following options:
All Operating Systems — includes components for all the available Operating Systems.
Windows — includes only the Windows related components.
Linux — includes only the Linux related components.
Other — includes components from any other Operating Systems.
