– Start: — You can set the date and time for the automatic search

Once all of the tabs have been completed, the Save button becomes active.
11. Click the Save button to complete the process.
A Task Creation pop-up is displayed, click Yes to close it.
An Automatic Search widow is displayed confirming the task has been created successfully. Click OK to close. it.
Search Dell Support Site
You can search the latest update information from the catalog file including the Dell Update Packages using the Search
Dell Support Site option.
1. On the Repository Manager, click Source → Search the Dell Support Site.
2. On the Search Dell Support Site tab, use the drop-down menu to navigate to the family group you wish to select.
3. Under the Models: box, navigate to the specific model(s) you want to include in the search, select the model and
click the
Add button.
NOTE: You can also use the Service Tag option by selecting the radio button to the left and entering the
Service Tag in the box provided. Only one service tag can be entered.
4. Repeat step 3 to add more models to the selected items list.
The model(s) selected is displayed in the box on the right.
NOTE: To remove a model from the selected items, select the model in the right box and click the Remove
button. Repeat the step, if you want to remove more models from the selected items.
5. In the Search Options (File Format) section, select one of the following options:
– Dell Update Packages — This is the default option. You can import all the DUPs to the local repository
when you use the default option and choose download.
– All file formats — You can download all the non DUP files to the system by choosing this option, but you
cannot import other non DUP files to the local repository.
6. Click Search.
The Searching for Latest updates window appears. You can view the details of the updates in the Please Wait...
window. This may take several minutes depending on the number of updates.
NOTE: Click Clear to reset the search options and start from the beginning.
7. In the Search Results window you have the columns for the File Name, uType, Version, Criticality, Posting Date,
Size and Dell Update Package details for individual updates. The Dell Update Package tab shows whether the
update is a DUP or non-DUP file. You can Download File or Export DUP files to the local system as well as a
component for an existing or new repository. You can download the non-DUP files to the system, but you can not
export the non-DUP files.
