NOTE: This option is disabled until you select a particular repository.
Deleting from My Repositories
1. Check for any open jobs in the Jobs Queue related to the repository that you want to delete.
Wait till the job completes or else Stop and Remove that job from the Jobs Queue before deleting.
2. Select the repository from the My Repositories list and click Delete.
3. Click Yes to confirm.
Deleting a repository deletes the repository data and the associated files from the database, once the user
confirms the operation.
NOTE: This option is disabled until you select any particular repository.
Refreshing from My Repositories
This feature is used to refresh the display of My Repositories tab, observe the changes to the components, bundles,
name and the description of repositories. Refresh is also use to refresh the table to find the repositories that are added
by the Automatic Search Update option.
Scheduling Automatic Search
You can automate and schedule the search option for update files from Dell Support Site (www.dell.com/support).
1. On the Repository Manager, click SourceSchedule Automatic Search.
The Automatic Search window is displayed.
2. On the Search tab, use the drop-down menu to navigate to the family group you wish to select.
3. Under the Models: box, navigate to the specific model(s) you want to include in the search, select the model and
click the Add button.
NOTE: You can also use the Service Tag option by selecting the radio button to the left and entering the
Service Tag in the box provided. Only one service tag can be entered.
4. Repeat step 3 to add more models to the selected items list.
The model(s) selected is displayed in the box on the right
NOTE: To remove a model from the selected items, select the model in the right box and click the Remove
button. Repeat the step, if you want to remove more models from the selected items.
5. Select all of the types of update files that apply as well as the Criticality, Operating System, and Availability.
6. Click the Actions tab.
7. The Import updates to a new repository in Dell Repository Manager Database option is selected by default.
You can also select one of the two other export options:
Export updates to a local repository
Export updates as a Lightweight Deployment Package (LWDP)
Click the Browse button and navigate to the location where the new export should be sent.
8. Click the Schedule tab.
9. Select the Enable automatic searching for update files from Dell Support Site (www.dell.com/support) check box.
10. You can select the following options Start: date and time, setup the Schedule for the frequency, and configure the
Security Options all from this tab.
