42 Using Repository Manager in Server Mode
Customizing the Script for Deployment
You can use your customized BASH script instead of the Dell default script,
or append the custom script to default script in the ISO, for deploying Linux
bundles on the server.
To customize the script for deployment:

Load or import a repository.

Click the
Bundles
tab.

Select the bundles you want to export from the list of displayed bundles,
and click
Export
.

In the
Export Bundle(s)
dialog box, click
Next
.

In the
Export Destination
dialog box, select
Deployment Media (Linux
only) Export to ISO/Script format for deployment
,
and click
Next
.

Click the
Check for latest Plugin
to install the latest deployment media
plugin from
ftp.dell.com
. Once the latest plugin is installed, the
Latest
Plugin Installed
link appears. Click
Next
.

In the
Browse For Folder
dialog box, navigate to the folder on your local
drive, where the your customized script is located, and click
OK
.

In the
Select custom Bundle Script
dialog box, select
Yes
to include a
custom script in the deployment media.

Under
Select custom script
, select one of the following:
•
Replace default script with custom script
to execute the customized
script instead of the Dell default script. Click
Browse
to navigate to
the folder where the customized script is located.
•
Append custom script to default script
to execute the customized
script after the Dell default script is executed.
NOTE: Ensure the customized script is of ’.sh’ format.
NOTE: Ensure that the script is edited and saved in UNIX format. Scripts with
Windows end-line characters are unusable.
