26 Using Repository Manager in Server Mode
Creating a New Repository
To create a repository:

Run Repository Manager.

In the
Welcome
screen, click
Import a Repository
. Alternatively,
click the
Add
link located at the top left corner of the Repository Manager
to add a repository.

Select
Create New Repository
, and click
Next
.

Enter a name and description for your repository, and click
Next
.

Select a source for your repository, and click
Next
. For more information
on selecting a source, see Selecting a Source for the Repository.

In the
Select Operating System(s)
dialog box, select the operating system
whose components you want to include in the repository, and click
Next
.
For example, if you select
Windows
, all DUPs pertaining to the Windows
operating system are included in the repository.
Selecting
Both
includes DUPs pertaining to the Windows and Linux
operating systems.

Select a system model, and click
Next
. For more information on selecting
system models, see Selecting System Models.

In the
Select Bundle(s)
dialog box, select the bundles you want to include
in the repository, and click
Next
. For more information on selecting
bundles, see Selecting Bundles.

In the
Additional Component(s)
dialog box, click
Yes
if you want your
repository to include additional components not included in the bundles
you selected. Click
View Components
for a list of additional components,
and click
Next
.

The
Summary
dialog box displays the properties of the repository based
on your selections in the Repository Manager.

Click
Finish
to create the new repository and to view the bundles and
components in this repository from the
Bundles
tab and
Components
tab.

Click the
Save
icon located in the
Bundles
or
Components
tabs to save
the repository in the
catalog file
, in the
xml
or
cab
format, on your system.
