KNOWN ISSUES
###############################################################
This section provides information on open issues with this release of Dell Repository Manager.
* If you try to add a BIOS update package of Dell business client system, i.e. Latitude, OptiPlex or Precision, to an
existing local repository by using Dell Repository Manager, the following error message is displayed:
"Fail to import selected DUP file(s)."
This is a known issue. Other Dell Update Packages (DUPs) will work fine without errors.
* If you plan to run custom script on RM output bootable ISO, make sure to include next export command before
launching
any Dell OpenManage Deployment Toolkit utilities:
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/dell/toolkit/bin
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$PATH:/opt/dell/toolkit/lib:/opt/lsi
An example of custom script:
#!/bin/bash
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/dell/toolkit/bin
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$PATH:/opt/dell/toolkit/lib:/opt/lsi
raidcfg -ctrl
racadm version
* In Dell Repository Manager server mode, if a component belongs to a custom bundle, you must "select and remove"
it
twice, to remove it from the local repository. This is a known issue in Dell Repository Manager v1.2. The first
"select and remove" action removes the component from the custom bundle, the second "select and remove" action
removes
it from the local repository.
* If you save a local repository to be used by Dell Client Manager, you must save the catalog by using "Cab Files
(.cab)"
type and name it as CatalogPC.cab.
* If you import a local repository which is saved by a RM release earlier than v1.2, all bundles will be shown as
custom bundle (bundle author is "User"), even when all or some of them are not changed from Dell original
repository on FTP.
Any local repository which is saved by RM 1.2 or later release will not have this issue.
