Dell EMC PowerEdge Express Flash Enterprise NVMe
Agnostic (AGN) device causes the system to stop
responding
Description: A system crash is observed when a Dell EMC PowerEdge Express Flash Enterprise NVMe Agnostic (AGN)
device is connected to a Dell EMC PowerEdge server running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6.
Applies to: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6
Workaround: Use the command-line parameter nr_cpus=255 during and after the installation as a workaround for
this issue only if the number of processors in the system is greater than or equal to 256.
Solution: This issue is resolved in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.9.

Transmit and receive statistics are reported as zero
by the ip tool for Broadcom BCM57504 adapters
Description:
The ip tool reports TX and RX statistics as zero in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8 with Broadcom
BCM57504 adapters. The ip tool may display a message similar to the following:
ip -s link show em4
5: em4: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 9000 qdisc mq state UP
mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether bc:97:e1:99:db:12 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

This is a cosmetic issue with no impact to functionality.
Applies to: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8
Workaround: Install the out-of-box drivers for Broadcom BCM57504.
Solution: This issue is resolved in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.9. For more information, see Red Hat Enterprise
