continues to work in the interrupt mode.
Incorrect Processor Information Displayed
Description For processors such as AMD Opteron 6200 Series and AMD Opteron 4200 Series, with two
nodes on one socket, the system displays incorrect processor information.
Workaround This is working as designed. The operating system will still be able to utilize the maximum
number of cores on the processor.

Cause This issue occurs when at least one of the following conditions is true:
Dell USC is used for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux optical media is used and the dd option is passed to the
installer.

Kernel Panic Occurs On AMD Opteron 6000 And AMD 4100 Processor-Based Systems
Description On systems based on the AMD Opteron 6000 series processors such as Dell PowerEdge R415,
R515, R715, and R815 there can be a kernel panic during system boot-up (installation time, or
runtime). The issue is seen with the x86 edition of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 5 and not
with the x86_64 edition.
NOTE: This issue also occurs with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 5 x86 and x86_64
running as a guest on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 5 Xen.
