From FSRM, while configuring the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
server, the test message can be successfully sent to the exchange server.
When the quota limit is reached, the event viewer application logs display
a warning that the user has exceeded the quota limit, but the e-mail
notification has not been sent to the SMTP server.
Microsoft addresses this issue with Microsoft Knowledge Base article
914678, which is available on the Microsoft Support website at
support.microsoft.com
. Microsoft also addresses this issue with a
hotfix that is integrated into the Dell factory installation process. If you
are reinstalling your operating system, Dell recommends that you
download and apply this hotfix to avoid this issue. See the Microsoft
Knowledge Base article 914678 for additional information.
• An error message regarding .NET Framework in the event log is
received.

, you may see runtime errors
with the .NET framework. This is a known Microsoft issue and is
documented in Knowledge Base article 914678 located on the

This issue is associated with the FSRM issue. The FSRM hotfix may
highlight this error, although it is unrelated.
• Unable to create an Active File Screen or Hard Quota for the System
Volume.
The FSRM File Screening option and the Quota Management option
do not allow the administrator to create an Active File Screen or a Hard
Quota for the System Volume.
Even though the administrator selects
Active
in
File Screen
or
Hard Quota
in
Quota Management
while creating a File Screen or
setting a Hard Quota for the System Volume, the file screening type
appears as
Passive
for
File Screen
and the
Quota type
appears as
Soft Quota
after they are created. The
Edit File Screen
or
Quota
option does not allow you to change the file screening type to
Active
or
the
Quota
type to
Hard Quota
. This issue occurs only while creating a
File Screen or a Quota type for the System Volume.
