b. Ensure that the VF interface is up and running with the assigned MAC
address.
14. Power off the VM and attach the VF. (Some OSs support hot-plugging of
VFs to the VM.)
a. In the Virtual Machine dialog box (Figure 12-13), click Add Hardware.

b. In the left pane of the Add New Virtual Hardware dialog box
(Figure 12-14), click PCI Host Device.
c. In the right pane, select a host device.
d. Click Finish.
