To install QConvergeConsole GUI in a Windows environment:
1. In the folder where you downloaded the installation file, double-click the
QConvergeConsole_Installer_Windows_
<version>.ex
e
file.
2. If an Open File security dialog box appears, click Run.
3. In the Tomcat Port Number Setup dialog box, type a valid port number in the
range 1025–65536, or keep the default port number, 8080.
4. Click Next.
5. In the next dialog box, select the appropriate option:
Yes - For localhost-only installation.
No - For non-localhost-only installation.
6. In the Pre-Installation Summary dialog box, verify that the information is
correct, and then click Install.
7. (Optional) In the Security Login Configuration:
a. Type a value in the Login ID box.
b. Type a value in the Password box.
c. If applicable, select the Check this box to enable Security Login
check box.
d. Click Next.
8. A message box prompts you to confirm if you want to enable the secure
socket layer (SSL) feature, which allows data to be encrypted within a
secure layer before passing it to and from the server:
Yes - Click to enable the SSL feature.
No - Click to disable the SSL feature.
NOTE
The localhost-only option installs QCC GUI locally so that you must run
it locally (remote connection is not possible). To disable the option, you
must uninstall QCC GUI and then re-install it, selecting No in this step.
NOTE
If you enable the Security Login option, the login ID and
password will be required to open QCC GUI. QCC GUI will also
automatically log out if it remains idle for more than a few
minutes.
