Your system contains an RJ45 connector (see Figure B-8) on the back panel for attach-
ing an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) Ethernet cable, which is used in 10BASE-T and
100BASE-TX networks. The network interface controller (NIC) provides all the func-
tions normally handled by a separate network expansion card. To connect your
system to and configure it for use on an Ethernet network, see Chapter 5, “Using the
Network Interface Controller.”
