Coin-cell battery

Removing the coin cell battery

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

2. Remove the base cover.

3. Remove the I/O-board interposers.

4. Remove the battery.

5. To remove the coin cell battery:

a) Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the system board and release the coin-cell battery cable from the routing guides on the

fan [1].

b) Note the location of the coin-cell battery and pry it off the system board [2].
