38 Configuring Secured iSCSI Connections Using CHAP
Target Settings
Configure the Target settings of CHAP as described in "iSCSI Target 
Settings" on page 36 and perform the following steps:

In the 
<Target Name> Properties
 window, select the 
Authentication
 tab.

Select the check box for 
Enable reverse CHAP authentication
. In the 
User name
 field, enter the IQN of the Initiator.

In the 
Reverse secret
 field enter the 
Secret
 value that you set in the Initiator.
  NOTE: Ensure that the reverse secret is not the same as the CHAP secret. 
The reverse secret must contain 12 to 16 characters.

Configure the Initiator settings for CHAP as described in "iSCSI Initiator 
Settings" on page 37.

In the 
Advanced Settings
 window
→
 select 
CHAP logon information
→
enter the 
User name
 and 
Target secret
. Select the check box for 
Perform 
mutual authentication
 and click 
OK.
You can log in only if you have credentials that you entered for the Target 
and Initiator.
