Rename the storage
array.
If you need to physically

software-assigned label of
Unnamed.
A unique, clear name with
no more than 30
characters that may
include letters, numbers,
and no special characters
other than underscore (_),
minus (–), or pound sign
(#).
NOTE: MD Storage
Manager does not check
for duplicate names.
Names are not case
sensitive.
Set a storage array
password.
To restrict unauthorized
access, MD Storage Manager
asks for a password before
changing the configuration or
performing a destructive
operation.
A case-sensitive password
that meets the security
requirements of your
enterprise.
Set the management
port IP addresses on
each controller.
To set the management port
IP addresses to match your
public network configuration.
Although DHCP is
supported, static IP
addressing is recommended.
In MD Storage Manager,
select Initial Setup Tasks
Configure Ethernet
Management Ports, then
specify the IP
configuration for each
management port on the
storage array controllers.
NOTE: If you change a
management port IP
address, you may need to
update your management
station configuration and/or
repeat storage array
discovery.
