Testing Options
window, select the specific tests you want to run
or select
Run all tests
(recommended).

On the last screen of the
Validate a Configuration
wizard, click
Next
to
confirm.
This runs a list of validation tests and prompt the errors or warnings that
are present in the configuration in the form of a
Summary
window.
Configuring Windows Server 2008 Failover Clustering
The cluster setup files are installed on the system disk when you add Failover
Clustering feature from the Add Feature wizard. To configure the Failover
Cluster feature in Windows Server 2008:

In the Failover Cluster Management console, select
Failover Cluster
Management
, under
Management
option, click
Create a Cluster
.

Follow the instructions in the wizard, and click
Finish
.

To view a report of the tasks that the wizard performed, Click
View Report
.
Adding a Cluster Node to the Failover Cluster
To add a cluster node:

Turn on the node(s).

Run the
Validate a Configuration
on the new node along with the existing
node(s).

If the cluster you want to configure is not displayed in the console tree of
the
Failover Cluster Management
screen, right-click
Failover Cluster
Management
, click
Manage a Cluster
, and select or specify the cluster
that you want to configure.

Click
Add Node
in the
Actions
pane. Follow the instructions on the screen
to complete the process.
