Users Guide
To log in to the Operator Panel, press the Enter key. The password entry screen displays.
Press the UP and DOWN arrow keys to change the current digit. Press the Enter key to advance to the
next digit. The default password is 0000. When you are logged in, you can change the password with the
Change Login Password command. See “Configuring Operator Panel settings” on page 64.
Screen elements
The Operator Panel displays a single menu item (▌1▐ in Figure 11) on each screen. The existence of other
menu items above and below the currently displayed item is indicated by the arrows (▌2▐ in Figure 11)
on the right side of the screen.
In the Configuration menu, the current configuration setting is indicated by an asterisk (▌3▐ in Figure 11)
on the right side of the screen. For example, in Figure 11, the I/O station is enabled. When a
configuration setting is changed, the confirmation screen in Figure 12 displays. Press Enter to confirm, or
Cancel to return to the previous screen.
Web User Interface
You can use the Web User Interface to update the library and drive firmware, and to download error
logs, drive memory dumps, and other library data.
Before the TL1000 Tape Autoloader can be managed over a network with the Web User Interface, set up
the initial network configuration of the library with the Operator Panel. For information, see
“Configuring network settings” on page 47.
