Overview
The PowerVault 122T VS80 autoloader is the first fully automated, rack mountable, 2U (3.34" height, 16.5" width), enterprise class DLT tape storage system
designed to provide unattended, near-line and off-line data storage. This high throughput, high capacity, storage device is optimized for applications that
provide archiving, hierarchical storage management, backup and retrieval functionality for low to mid-range servers and networks.
The autoloader is SCSI-2 compatible and operates as a single SCSI ID/two LUN data storage device. The PowerVault 122T VS80 autoloader is equipped with a
Quantum VS80 tape drive and contains up to eight DLTtapeIV cartridges, providing a compressed capacity of 640 GB and a sustained data transfer rate as
high as 21.6 GB per hour.
The autoloader is compatible with the most popular operating systems and environments supporting a SCSI LVD interface but requires direct support from the
operating system or a compatible backup application to take full advantage of its many features.
