Undoing Commands
When you enter a command, the command line is added to the running configuration file (running-config).
To disable a command and remove it from the running-config, enter the no command, then the original
command. For example, to delete an IP address configured on an interface, use the
no ip address ip-
address command.
NOTE: Use the help or ? command as described in Obtaining Help.
Example of Viewing Disabled Commands
Dell(conf)#interface tengigabitethernet 1/17/1
Dell(conf-if-te-1/17/1)#ip address 192.168.10.1/24

Layer 2 protocols are disabled by default. To enable Layer 2 protocols, use the no disable command. For
example, in PROTOCOL SPANNING TREE mode, enter
no disable to enable Spanning Tree.
