Usage Information Mapping applies to both v1 and v2 IGMP joins; any updates to the ACL are reflected in
the IGMP groups. You may not use extended access lists with this command. When you
configure a static SSM map and the router cannot find any matching access lists, the
router continues to accept (*,G) groups.

Syntax
ip igmp version {2 | 3}
Parameters
2 Enter the number 2 to set the IGMP version number to IGMPv2.
3 Enter the number 3 to set the IGMP version number to IGMPv3.
Defaults 2 (IGMPv2)
