Debugging IPv6 RDNSS Information Sent to the Host
To verify that the IPv6 RDNSS information sent to the host is congured correctly, use the debug ipv6 nd command in EXEC Privilege
mode.
Example of Debugging IPv6 RDNSS Information Sent to the Host
The following example debugs IPv6 RDNSS information sent to the host.
The last 3 lines indicate that the IPv6 RDNSS information was congured correctly.
dns-server=1000::0001, lifetime=1 sec
dns-server=3000::0001, lifetime=1 sec
dns-server=2000::0001, lifetime=0 sec
If the DNS server information is not displayed, verify that the IPv6 recursive DNS server conguration was congured on the correct
interface.
Displaying IPv6 RDNSS Information
To display IPv6 interface information, including IPv6 RDNSS information, use the show ipv6 interface command in EXEC or EXEC
Privilege mode.
Examples of Displaying IPv6 RDNSS Information
The following example displays IPv6 RDNSS information. The output in the last 3 lines indicates that the IPv6 RDNSS was correctly
congured on interface te 1/1.
To display IPv6 RDNSS information, use the show configuration command in INTERFACE CONFIG mode.
The following example uses the show configuration command to display IPv6 RDNSS information.
Secure Shell (SSH) Over an IPv6 Transport
Dell EMC Networking OS supports both inbound and outbound SSH sessions using IPv6 addressing. Inbound SSH supports accessing the
system through the management interface as well as through a physical Layer 3 interface.
For SSH conguration details, refer to the Security chapter in the Dell EMC Networking OS Command Line Interface Reference Guide.
Conguration Tasks for IPv6
The following are conguration tasks for the IPv6 protocol.
Adjusting Your CAM-Prole
Assigning an IPv6 Address to an Interface
Assigning a Static IPv6 Route
Conguring Telnet with IPv6
SNMP over IPv6
Showing IPv6 Information
Clearing IPv6 Routes
Adjusting Your CAM-Prole
Although adjusting your CAM-prole is not a mandatory step, if you plan to implement IPv6 ACLs, adjust your CAM settings.
