You enter Boot-Line Interface (BLI) mode at the BOOT_USER# prompt.
NOTE: You must enter the CLI commands. The system rejects them if they are copied and pasted.
4 Set the system parameters to ignore the enable password when the system reloads.
BOOT_USER# ignore enable-password
BOOT_USER# reload
5 Reload the system.
BOOT_USER mode
reset
6 Congure a new enable password.
CONFIGURATION mode
enable {password | secret | sha256–password}
7 Save the running-cong to the startup-cong.
EXEC Privilege mode
copy running-config startup-config
Recovering from a Failed Start on the S6000
A switch that does not start correctly might be trying to boot from a corrupted Dell Networking OS image or from a mis-specied location.
In this case, you can restart the system and interrupt the boot process to point the system to another boot location.
1 Power-cycle the chassis (pull the power cord and reinsert it).
2 During bootup, press the ESC key when this message appears: Press Esc to stop autoboot...

3 At the BLI prompt, set the system parameter to ignore the enable password and reload the system:
BOOT_USER mode
BOOT_USER# boot change primary
You are prompted to enter a valid boot device (for example, ftp o r tftp or flash) and a path or lename for the Dell Networking
OS image that you want to use.
4 (Optional) Set the secondary and default boot locations by entering the following commands:
BOOT_USER mode
BOOT_USER# boot change secondary
BOOT_USER# boot change default
5 Reboot the chassis.
BOOT_USER mode
reload
Restoring the Factory Default Settings
Restoring the factory-default settings deletes the existing NVRAM settings, startup conguration, and all congured settings such as,
stacking or fanout.
To restore the factory default settings, use the restore factory-defaults stack-unit {stack—unit—number | all}
{clear-all | nvram | bootvar} command in EXEC Privilege mode.
