Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
Overview
The commands in this chapter configure and monitor the IEEE 802.1d Spanning Tree protocol (STP)
and are supported on all Dell Networking switch/routing platforms. The symbols s z under
command headings indicate which Dell Networking — , S-Series or Z-Series, respectively —
support the command.

Set the bridge priority of the switch in an IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree.
Syntax
bridge-priority {priority-value | primary | secondary}
To return to the default value, enter no bridge-priority.
Parameters

priority-value
Enter a number as the bridge priority value.
Range: 0 to 65535.
Default: 32768.
