MBGP Commands
Multiprotocol BGP (MBGP) is an enhanced BGP that enables multicast routing policy throughout the
Internet and connecting multicast topologies between BGP and autonomous systems (AS). FTOS
MBGP is implemented as per IETF RFC 1858.
FFTOS version 9.0.2.0 and later support MBGP for IPv4 Multicast only on the s platform.
The MBGP commands are:
• debug ip bgp dampening
• distance bgp
• show ip bgp dampened-paths
debug ip bgp dampening
s
View information on routes being dampened.
Syntax
debug ip bgp ipv4 multicast dampening
To disable debugging, enter no debug ip bgp ipv4 multicast dampening

keepalive
Enter a number for the time interval, in seconds, between keepalive messages sent
to the neighbor routers.
Range: 1 to 65535
Default: 60 seconds
holdtime
Enter a number for the time interval, in seconds, between the last keepalive
message and declaring the router dead.
Range: 3 to 65535
Default: 180 seconds
