Usage Information
CAUTION: Dell EMC Networking recommends that you do not change the administrative distance
of internal routes. Changing the administrative distances may cause routing table inconsistencies.
The higher the administrative distance assigned to a route means that your confidence in that route is low. Routes
assigned an administrative distance of 255 are not installed in the routing table. Routes from confederations are
treated as internal BGP routes.
neighbor auto-local-address
Enable BGP to pick the next hop IPv6 address automatically for IPv6 prefix advertised over an IPv4 neighbor.
Syntax
neighbor {neighbor-ipv6–address | peer-group name} auto-local-address
To disable this feature, use the no neighbor {neighbor-ipv6–address | peer-group name}
auto-local-address command.
Parameters
neighbor-ipv6–
address
Enter the neighbor IPv6 address.
peer-group
name
Enter the name of the peer group.
Defaults Disabled.

Usage Information
If you use this command, the system dynamically picks up the local interface IPv6 address as the next hop for all
the outgoing updates over an IPv4 neighbor configured under an IPv6 address family.
show ip bgp dampened-paths
View BGP routes that are dampened (non-active).

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords vrf and then the name of the VRF to view routes that
are affected by a specific community list corresponding to that VRF.
